Whether it is a leaf dancing in the wind or autumn leaves rustling under our feet, our lives revolve around them. Complex, beautiful, and life-giving. Leaves are solar-powered food factories. Basking in the Sun, with the help of chlorophyll, they use solar energy to convert carbon dioxide absorbed from the atmosphere and water from the soil into glucose which is a plant food. This is known as photosynthesis. And this is what turns our world green. If it weren’t for leaves, we would not exist.
